An Intimate Winter Tasting Experience Aboard Brindabella
This August, step aboard South Australia’s most iconic maxi yacht, Brindabella, for a unique winter event celebrating the flavours, stories, and spirit of the sea. Flavours of the Sea is a two-hour, small-group experience combining fresh local seafood, premium wine, and immersive maritime storytelling—all set against the dramatic backdrop of Port Adelaide’s Light house and Fisherman’s Wharf. *see footnote
With only 10 guests per session, this exclusive event offers a rare opportunity to dine aboard a living legend of Australian sailing in a setting as memorable as the menu.
What to Expect
Guests are welcomed with a Captain’s Cocktail—a bold Bloody Mary oyster shot—before enjoying six seasonal seafood tapas dishes, each paired with premium wine tastings from Howard Vineyard. From saltbush-dusted calamari to flame-torched sardines, every dish heroes local ingredients and is served with tasting cards detailing the wine pairing and producer stories.
An immersive soundscape and projected archival footage of Brindabella’s racing history set the tone, enhanced by historical commentary from the crew. Between courses, guests enjoy a live galley demonstration, showcasing techniques like oyster shucking or torching sardines.
Vegetarian options are available for non-seafood lovers, and we kindly ask guests to advise us of any allergies at the time of booking.
*Please Note: We are working closely with Renewal SA to position Brindabella at the heart of the Port for this event. However, if this is not possible, the location will be The Royal South Australian Yacht Squadron.
